I finally launched my blog. I will be leaving this site as it is. The biggest reason is this site is running on PHP while taking advantage of a few aspects in the Linux platform. While the blog runs on ASP.NET on Windows.

I work as a .NET programmer now but still need to do some LAMP programming once in a while. This site is the best excuse.

It's been a while

Well I haven't been doing much visible on the web these days. I got a job 3 years ago today at an awesome company called Sierra Bravo Corp. I work as a .NET and PHP Developer there. In my time I've done everything from Windows Mobile to Legacy programming in PICK/BASIC.

I love my job and it keeps me very busy. I have let this site and the software on it go down the tubes. I had at one point re-written the .NET version of Al Bhed Translator but never released it on here. The FireFox extension is currently incompatible with FireFox 2.0+ and Thunderbird 1.5+. This is mostly due to my loss of my original development environment. Any future releases will not be digitally signed. Since I no longer work at PhotoSource I'm unable to use their certificate.

The site has moved servers in the last year. It is now hosted by DreamHost and I've been very pleased with them so far. I've got tons of space and bandwidth. The only downside is I've been come a .NET developer and they do not host it.

Someday I may get back into updating this site, probably turn it into a blog for things I do.

I recently acquired the American Head Charge fan site "Site for the Suspects". It's goal is to provide the most comprehensive American Head Charge content known to the world. So far I think it's already made that goal, espescially since the Official AHC site has been reduced down to one page and the forums have been taken offline. So go check it out, there's even some exclusive mp3's that cannot be found anywhere else (given to me personally by a member of the band).

NEW Al Bhed Translator - Mozilla Extension

Thats right after a long time there is a brand new edition of the Al Bhed translator. The Al Bhed Translator Extension for Mozilla FireFox, Thundbird and the plain old Mozilla/Netscape 7. This one you can have with you anywhere on the web. You dont have to visit this site anymore to have al bhed translations at your fingertips. As long as you use Mozilla Firefox or Mozilla as your Web Browser. Also if you use Mozilla Thunderbird email you can use it to send emails in al bhed.

Version 0.1 is a barebones extension. It is a simple pop-up dialog that works exactly like the Al Bhed JavaScript Edition (uses they same exact javascript code). I'm planning for future versions to include context-menus so you can highlight text and automatically translate it. I'm also planning full email encoder/decoder for the Thunderbird edition.

New Look

I've made the first redesign changes to the site. Let me know what you think. I'm working towards making the site more standards compliant. I'm dropping support for Netscape 4 and Internet Explorer 4. For those of you that are using one of these browsers I highly suggest you upgrade to Mozilla or FireFox. I will be continuing more changes and additions to the site this week. I will be debuting a tutorials section starting with some tutorials on code signing on linux and windows.

Server Switch

This site may down for a bit, I am currently switching to a new server where I run the DNS myself. It's my first time setting up a Name Server so it may be down for a few days. My apologies. It should be up and running stably by march.
